Core training should be in every girls’ basketball strength program. The main job of the core is to stabilize the spine, which means no movement.
There are 3 ways the core functions to stabilize the spine:
1.Anti-Extension – no extension in the lumbar spine
2.Anti-Rotation – no rotation in the spine
3.Anti-Lateral Flexion – no side bending of the spine
